Extraction method

The quality of the extract is highly dependent not only on the plant and the care taken in its cultivation, but also on its method of extraction. Hundreds of natural molecules have been identified in cannabis, each with remarkable characteristics, including components such as cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), flavonoids and terpenes. There exist various extraction techniques to separate the components of cannabis and remove them from the plant matrix.

To get the most out of the plant, here at ExaCan™, we have selected the technology that best respects, not only the plant, but also the environment.

We pay the greatest attention to the methodology, to extract carefully, gradually, reliably, faithfully the soul of the plant in the depths of its being, in the most appropriate way. For us, for you.

CO2 Extraction

Unlike butane or propane based methods which are toxic and explosive gases, carbon dioxide (CO2) is considered safe by the FDA, making it a more desirable solvent among the extraction specialists in our field.

CO2 has become very popular because it is both safe and very effective. It also works as a disinfectant. Thus, it can extend the shelf life. In addition, if CO2 remains in an extract after the process, it simply evaporates into the air which also contains it. We believe this is particularly important for all preparations intended for human use, as this can guarantee the absence of residual solvent in the final product.

Because CO2 extraction is efficient and the CO2 collected from the air, the process does not contribute to carbon emissions into the atmosphere. The CO2 that is used during the process is simply returned to the environment from which it comes, without combustion or chemical transformation. It does not pollute the air.

Owing to the great experience of our team in the processing, we transform the plant into extracts, down to the finest of subtleties.
